ValleyCare Offers Closer Look at Health Insurance
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- ValleyCare Health System is offering residents opportunities Oct. 21 and 24 to learn more about their insurance options now that the more of the Affordable Care Act has taken effect.
Carol Snowberger, a human resources generalist, will try to clear up confusion about the Health Insurance Marketplace at 2 p.m. Oct. 21 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, and at 10 a.m. Oct. 24 in the Liberty Township administration building, a spokeswoman for ValleyCare says.
Reservations are recommended but not required. To register for either program, call 330 841 5727
A primary goal of the Affordable Care Act is to help eligible Americans without health insurance to gain access to affordable health care. Financial help to reduce costs is also available for people who qualify.
While the Ohio General Assembly have chosen not to expand Medicaid in Ohio, government subsidies to help citizens obtain coverage from the Health Insurance Marketplace are available, depending on income and other qualifications.
