InShape MD Franchise Opens in Boardman
BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The owner of the new InShape MD franchise here plans to open 10 locations in the region, including one as soon as March.
Scott Gorley, president of Perfecta Products Inc. and its parent company, Berlin Industries, both of North Lima, owns the Boardman clinic and is the producer and distributor of Zim’s Crack Crème and other skin care products. Launched more than 60 years ago with the creation of the original Zim’s Crack Crème, the Zim’s brand has expanded to more than 25 products ranging from lotions to crèmes to pain-relief gels and diabetic care items.
The InShape MD franchise hosted a ribbon cutting at the Route 224 location Monday morning. The opening gives the chain 43 clinics now open or planned in 18 states, according to the company’s website.
InShape MD is a physician-guided wellness clinic offering weight loss, hormone therapy, appetite suppressants and general overall wellness, said Stacey Owen, general manager of the Boardman clinic. Talking to people in the market, she said, there wasn’t anything similar in the area. People were going outside the region to receive shots and supplements. “So we thought this would be a great area,” she remarked.
“This franchise is very popular in the South,” Owen said. “My boss had heard about it and investigated it. We’re hoping to open 10 InShapes in the area so we think it will be a wonderful venture.” The timing for the clinic’s opening works out as well, as people tend to be focused on fitness following the holidays.
Owen, two wellness consultants and two physicians staff the clinic, she reported. “It’s an individualized program so we’re here for you. Come in, talk to us and we can set you on your way to a great plan.”
