Cook Named President of St. Joseph Health Center
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Humility of Mary Health Partners has named Kathy Cook, former chief nursing oficer of St. Elizabeth Health Center, president of St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
Cook has been part of the HMHP system since she started as a nursing student at the St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing. She has progressed through the management ranks as an assistant head nurse, head nurse, director, senior director and executive director of nursing. In addition to her nursing diploma, Cook holds a baccalaureate in nursing from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in nursing administration from Gannon University, Erie, Pa. She is also a graduate of the Catholic Health Partners Leadership Academy.
“Kathy is a great asset to HMHP,” said Bob Shroder, president and CEO of HMHP, in a prepared statement. “She has been in the role of president on an interim basis since June and has done an excellent job during this time."
St. Joseph Health Center, a 219 bed inpatient hospital, offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including an emergency department and comprehensive cancer center. It is the first verified Level III trauma center in Trumbull County and houses advanced surgical suites and an American Osteopathic Association-accredited internship and residency medical education program through the Ohio University.
