BWC Launches Online Tool for Employers
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation has launched a new online tool, My Policy Page, intended to make it easier for employers to navigate and manage the details of their workers' compensation insurance policies.
My Policy Page at ohiobwc.com allows most employers to view important policy, rating plan, and claims information at the click of a button, BWC says.
The new page also displays each employer's program eligibility to highlight any opportunities they may be missing to save on their premiums.
"We've made a priority of improving service to better meet the needs of our customers, and that includes simplifying the process of communicating and conducting business with us," said Steve Buehrer, administrator/CEO. "By putting the most important information at their fingertips, we're making it easier for employers to do business online."
Employers will be directed automatically to the page after they log into their BWC e-accounts. From this home page, employers can report payroll and pay premium, reprint coverage certificates, check outstanding balances, update demographic and contact information and receive updates on important dates and deadlines. They can also view:
- Current program participation and eligibility for other premium discount programs.
- Claims history and details about claims they filed. A search function allows an employer to look up claims by date of injury, status or benefit type
- Quarterly claims costs, as well as any costs associated with claims that occur during a specified range of dates. This function also allows the creation of a downloadable report in Microsoft Excel
Employers without an online profile can create one at the site. Employers who conduct business with the bureau online can receive a Go Green premium discount available through BWC's Destination: Excellence Program.
My policy page is not available to companies that self insure, are covered under the marine fund, or are state agencies.
