YSU Offers 3 Professional Development Seminars
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University is offering three half-day seminars to advance the skills and expertise of professionals in the private, public and nonprofit sectors.
The topics are how to design a survey, the 10-top things professional women should know about their finances, and social media best practices.
The seminars are as follows:
- Feb. 22: How to Design a Survey, presented by Kendra Fowler, YSU assistant professor of marketing. Participants will learn how to develop a survey plan, choose among various types of questions to ask, and properly word questions and response options.
- March 22: Top 10 Things Professional Women Must Know about Their Finances, presented by Jill McCullough, a certified financial planner and an assistant professor of finance at YSU. This workshop will help professional women examine and understand some of the critical aspects of their financial situation and guide them to better management.
- May 3: Social Media Best Practices, led by Patrick J.Bateman, assistant professor of management at YSU. Through the examination of best practices of companies in a variety of industries, Bateman will help participants’ understand, plan, and set strategies in how to use social media to communicate with customers to create value.
All seminars will be held in the conference center on the third floor of Williamson Hall. Free parking is available on Wood Street across from Williamson Hall. Registration and a continental breakfast will take place from 8 to 8:30 a.m. and the program will run 8:30 a.m. to noon.
