Public Invited to Tour Eastern Gateway Valley Campus
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Residents of the Mahoning Valley can tour, explore and enroll at Eastern Gateway Community College during special events this month at its Valley Center campus, 101 E. Federal St.
Propsective students, members of their families and friends may tour the campus that offers classrooms, computer labs, admissions, financial aid and advising offices as well as a bookstore.
Exploration of college courses and programs of study is encouraged, and admissions and advising staff will be available to discuss students’ options.
Enrollment is open for fall classes that begin Aug. 26. Registration requirements include a high school or GED transcript and any previous college transcript.
Students may start the financial aid process by bringing their 2012 tax statements. 2013 high school graduates in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties with a 2.5 grade point average may request information on the Gateway Grant, which provides free tuition for four semesters of full-time attendance.
The free, public events are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 15, 22 and 29 and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 17 and 24.
