Entries Sought for Oh-Penn Business Plan Competition
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Round One of the Oh-Penn for Business College Business Plan Competition is open and accepting submissions.
The competition is open to any college student who goes to school in or is from Ohio or Pennsylvania.
For this stage, entrants are required to submit a business concept by video, short paper, or directly on the online entry form at this website.
Semi-finalists will be chosen and have until March 18 to submit a 10-page business plan. From the semi-finalist group, no more than eight finalists will be chosen to compete on competition day, April 20 at Grove City College.
The competition will consist of a 10-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A round with the judges. The first place winner will be awarded $3,000; second place winner, $1,500; and third place winner, $500.
The contest is the result of a collaboration that includes regional business incubators, colleges and universities, angel investor groups and other regional economic development agencies. Sponsors and collaborators include the eCenter@LindenPointe, Grove City College, Community Connections, Penn State Shenango, Penn State Erie-The Behrend College, the Erie Technology Incubator at Gannon University, the Youngstown Business Incubator, and Blue Tree Allied Angels.
