Brazilian Business Faculty, Students Visit YSU
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Williamson Colllege of Business Administration at Youngstown State is playing host this week to students and faculty from the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. The students are here for the 16th annual business-study tour.
The group will attend business lectures and tour businesses in the Valley through Thursday, said Betty Jo Licata, dean of the Williamson College.
MBA candidates from the University of Sao Paulo who are retail executives will visit retail establishments such as Best Buy, Home Depot, Walmart, CVS, the Walmart distribution center, Sam’s Club, IKEA in Pittsburgh, and Krogers and Cabelas in West Virginia. YSU faculty will present seminars about business-to-business marketing, emerging trends in marketing communication, tools for strategic decision-making, and international and domestic business perspectives at both the state and local levels.
“We are very excited about our partnership with the University of Sao Paulo and are looking forward to other joint ventures,” Licata said in a prepared statement.
Hosting the Brazilians is one aspect of YSU’s Center of Excellence in International Business, she noted.
