Team NEO Assisted 27 Companies in 1st Quarter
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Regional economic development activities helped to add $648 million in new capital investment and 4,818 jobs with $240 million in payroll during the first three months of 2014, Team Northeast Ohio reports.
The first quarter report is based on activity reported by JobsOhio, Team NEO, major city chambers of commerce and economic development organizations in 18 counties across northeastern Ohio.
The report noted that the activity assisted in bringing three new business investments, including Cleveland Tech Holdings LLC, and supported the growth of 24 businesses in the 18-county region.
“The region’s economic development organizations are constantly collaborating to find new and innovative ways to strengthen Northeast Ohio’s economy,” said Tom Waltermire, CEO of Team NEO, in a prepared statement. “By working together, we’re able to provide customized solutions to help new and expanding businesses thrive in Northeast Ohio.”
