Slot Machine Revenues Drop at Pa. Casinos
HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Revenue generated from playing slot machines at the 12 casinos in the Keystone State in September was $180,311,642, or 3.9% lower than September 2013, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reports.
Taxes paid were $96,417,980, the board said.
Slot machine revenue at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh was $21,518,302.43, down 2.55% from September 2013. At Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie, revenues of $9,972,834.53 represent a drop of 8.55%.
The average number of operating slot machines at the 12 casinos in Pennsylvania was 26,400 in September compared to 26,624 in September 2013.
