Pa. Table Games Revenue Increases 2% in July
HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $61.1 million in July. This represents a 1.93% increase in revenue from play compared with July 2013.
There was a slight decrease in the combined overall gaming revenue at the 12 casinos this July compared to last year. Total revenue from slot machines and table games was $262,525,675 compared with $264,860,050 in July 2013, a difference of 0.88%.
The 12 casinos in operation in Pennsylvania all offer both slot machine and table game gambling, employ over 16,000 and collectively generate an average of nearly $4 million per day in tax revenue.
Of local interest, figures from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board show:
Rivers Casino, Pittsburgh, reported gross revenue of $5,683,312 from 113 tables versus $5,329,774 from 114 tables last July.
At Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie, July gross revenue was $1,220,730 compared with $1,097,390 in July 2013. The casino had 46 tables both years.
Statewide, $8.8 million in tax revenue was generated from table games this July, the report shows.
