Ohio Records 6,358 New-Business Filings in November
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A total of 6,358 entities filed to do business in Ohio in November, the office of secretary of state reports. These numbers are down slightly from November 2011 when 6,663 new entities filed with the office.
New-business filings are classified as forms submitted to the Ohio secretary of state that declare the formation of a business entity, including for-profit, nonprofit and professional corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, limited partnerships and limited liability partnerships.
The office has received 81,093 new business filings between Jan. 1 and Nov. 30, an increase from the same period last year when 76,138 new businesses filed, the office of the secretary says.
