Network Solutions Provider Project on Agency's Agenda
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Tax Credit Authority is expected to vote tomorrow to approve an application for tax credits submitted by Network Solutions Provider, a Los Angeles company that is considering opening an office in Youngstown.
The company’s application for tax credits is one of three items on the agency’s agenda for its meeting Tuesday. The other two items involve the H.J. Heinz Co., which is seeking state assistance for projects at its Massillon and Fremont food factories.
Network Solutions Provider has identified a property in downtown Youngstown for its operations, but had not finalized its lease, according to information provided Dec. 2 by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. The company’s application for tax credits was on the Ohio Tax Credit Authority’s agenda Dec. 2 but action was postponed due to the lack of a quorum (READ STORY).
Network Solutions Provider describes itself as one of the fastest-growing technology integrators in the country. The company employs 27 at its headquarters, states information posted by Inc.com, and reports 2012 revenue of $7.9 million.
NSP is ranked No. 31 on Deloitte’s 2013 Technology Fast 500 ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America, NSP announced Dec. 3. (READ ANNOUNCEMENT).
In its announcement of the Deloitte ranking, NSP states in addition to its headquarters in Los Angeles, the company has “offices in Ohio, Iowa, Virginia and Atlanta.” Neither the announcement nor the company’s website provides additional information about its locations.
“NSP has been contemplating an investment in the Mahoning Valley for a number of years," Sarah Boyarko, the chamber’s vice president for economic development, said Dec. 2. "We hope that an award from the Tax Credit Authority in the near future will encourage them to pick downtown Youngstown as their next location to create jobs.”
Youngstown Economic Development Director T. Sharon Woodberry confirmed the company has provided the city "some preliminary information. It's in the initial phases as far as our office is concerned,” she said Dec. 2.
