Airport Seeks Survey Data to Secure United Service
VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Western Reserve Port Authority is seeking input from the Mahoning Valley to help make its case with United Airlines to reestablish daily passenger service.
Officials with the port authority, which operates Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, are in discussions with United representatives about reestablishing service through its hub at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
“Before committing to such an investment, United Airlines needs to gain an understanding of local demand for the service,” a review process that is underway, said Dan Dickten, director of aviation at the regional airport. Businesses and organizations are being sent copies of the survey, which will run through the close of business April 4.
The survey is also available online at this website.
