Dunham's Sports Coming to Hermitage Towne Plaze
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Waterford, Mich.-based Dunham's Sports will occupy approximately 21,600 square feet of retail space at Hermitage Towne Plaza, according to plaza owner J.J. Gumberg Co. The new store is expected to open fourth quarter 2004. Dunham's Sports will offer a complete line of sporting goods, athletic equipment, active sports gear and leisure apparel. It will be located on the west end of the shopping center between Kmart and Big Lots. The existing tenant mix includes Giant Eagle, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Radio Shack, Altmeyer's Bed, Bath & Home, Wine and Spirits Shoppe, Pet Supplies Plus and, also opening soon, T.J. Maxx. "We believe we've created a smart tenant mix at Hermitage Towne Plaza, which offers quality brands that resonate with consumers and meets the specific shopping needs of this community," said Ted Donald, senior vice president, J.J. Gumberg Co. "Dunham's will complement our existing mix of quality retailers at Hermitage Towne Plaza and fulfill the need for a full-service sports store that offers a remarkable range of popular national brands." Dunham's Sports, one of the largest, full-line sporting goods chains in the United States, was founded in 1937 as Dunham's Bait & Tackle.
