WYSU-FM Fall Fund Drive Sets Goal of $115,000
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- For the sixth time in a row, the on-air portion of WYSU FM's annual fall fund campaign will last just 72 hours, from Tuesday through Friday. The public radio station with studios on the campus of Youngstown State University has set a goal of $115,000.
Donors who pledge support -- either as a new member, a renewing member, or with an additional gift -- between now and the end of the fall fund drive will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of tickets for the May 2014 WYSU-sponsored Go Ahead Tours 10-day excursion to Paris, Provence and the French Riviera, said station director Gary Sexton.
Throughout the drive, the station will also offer daily prize packages, a new-member prize package, a Pennsylvania-member prize package, and an early bird prize package open to all members who pledge before the start of the on-air portion of the drive tomorrow.
Because of support from IDMI.net, all pledges made via the Web to the radio station this fall will qualify for a partial match.
“The keystone is the crown of an arch that locks all the other pieces together,” Sexton noted. “Membership is the keystone in the funding formula for a public radio station. All the other sources depend upon it."
Contributions can be made by phone at 330 941 1481 or online.
