Western Union Taps VXI Call Center for New Program
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- VXI Global Solutions LLC and Western Union Co. today kicked off a new program today at VXI’s downtown call center that will assist Western Union customers and agents with money transfers and loyalty services.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with Western Union to bring over 200 jobs back into the U.S.A. starting right here in Youngstown,” said Stuart Foster, VXI operations director for the Western Union program.
“Western Union is extremely excited to partner with VXI Global Solutions, Youngstown in an effort to provide exceptional service and money movement solutions to our customers, worldwide,” added Stacy Sam, Western Union vendor manager.
Last year, the global payment services firm completed 231 million consumer-to-consumer transactions worldwide, moving $79 billion of principal between consumers, and 432 million business payments.
VXI opened its downtown Youngstown inbound call center on the fourth floor of 20 Federal Place in October 2009, and expanded to the building’s fifth floor the following year. At last count, late last year, the company reported 900 employees at the downtown call center. VXI operates 15 sites with more than 12,000 seats located in the United States, Philippines, China and South East Asia.
