Turning Technologies Offers Triton Collection System
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Triton Data Collection System, based in San Antonio, Texas, is fully released and now available to the public, reports its parent company, Turning Technologies.
The Triton system combines the front-end ease of paper testing with the back-end ease of computer-based testing, addressing common concerns about both methods, Turning explained in its announcement.
“Triton is a simple, secure and reliable data collection system designed to meet market needs from standardized assessments to enterprisewide exams, evaluations and certification testing. It replaces paper bubble sheets with ResponseCard NXT clickers, offering immediate data collection via a secure, closed radio frequency network,” Turning said in a prepared statement.
“[Using] current test booklets, participants enter and submit test answers via ResponseCard NXT clicker with Turning's patented, secure radio frequency data transfer technology. Collected data [are] encrypted, backed up and stored in three locations, including a central administration Triton Web portal that manages all testing elements.”
Turning claims it has become “the No. 1 global manufacturer in our industry by providing extremely innovative solutions that effectively meet educators' goals while being incredibly easy-to-use and cost effective.”
Turning Technologies, founded in 2002, has shipped some seven million ResponseCard keypads to elementary, middle and high schools and businesses worldwide, it says. The company is based in the Youngstown Business Incubator block downtown.
