Storey Elected Chairman of BBB Board of Directors
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The board of directors of the Better Business Bureau of the Mahoning Valley has elected Teri Storey of Masonry Materials Plus to serve as is chairman for 2014.
Storey has been with Masonry Materials Plus since its opening in 1986 and took ownership in 2000. In addition to serving on the BBB board, she has served on the board of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. She also is active with the Home Builders and Remodelers Association where she serves on the board and has received its supplier-of-the-year award. Storey and her father, the late Jack Storey, are the first family members to both serve as BBB chairman.
“In today’s marketplace, consumers are looking for businesses that they can trust. The Better Business Bureau is where consumers can find businesses that meet the BBB’s Standards for Trust,” Storey said in a statement.
Added Carol Potter, BBB president, “Teri has been a dedicated supporter of the BBB’s mission, and we look forward to her leadership in 2014. She is recognized as a business leader with a broad understanding of business issues in our community and a desire to promote the expansion of ethical business operations throughout the Mahoning Valley.”
Tom Duncan was elected vice chaimanr. Also elected to the executive committee are Ed Muransky, The Muransky Companies, vice chairman; Eric Ryan, Covelli Centre, treasurer; Terry DiMascio, Aim NationaLease, secretary, and Dave Coy, Youngstown Television, immediate past chair. Christopher J. Newman will continue as BBB counsel and serve on the executive committee.
Daniel Becker, Becker Funeral Service, and Andy Detesco, James & Sons Insurance, were re-elected for three-year terms.
