Public to Choose Next Move for Farmers' Mannequins
BOARDMAN, Ohio – The mannequins at Farmers National Bank’s Route 224 billboard near the Southern Park Mall are getting ready for something new, and the public will have the opportunity to decide what that is.
Farmers is launching a community campaign to decide what comes next for the billboard, which began in late 2010 with a single rock climber. “Ben” subsequently was joined by his wife, “Emma,” both of whom are now sporting Relay for Life T-shirts to promote that cause. Later additions to the billboard have included a house and car.
Fans can visit the Farmers' website to vote among the following options for the billboard couple: adopting a cat, going on vacation or having a baby. Voting runs through April 30 and the winning selection will be on the Farmers’ billboard this summer.
“Our clients and neighbors always tells us how they enjoy the Farmers Family story and we’re happy to keep it fresh and interesting,” says Marla Pieton, Farmers’ assistant vice president for marketing. “Besides making the drive on 224 a bit more fun, this billboard is an excellent demonstration of all the ways Farmers’ financial services contribute to the lives of area families.”
