Patriot Seating Rolls Out 'Service Chair' Today
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Patriot Seating Inc., a founded in 2005 company that employs veterans exclusively at its plant here, is commemorating Veterans Day by rolling out its “Service Chair,” a commercial grade task chair for use in home offices.
The Service Chair is the first product the company has manufactured and marketed directly for consumers. Beginning today, customers can order the chair through a new website, TheServiceChair.com.
The chair is designed to adjust to the comfort of the user, allowing them to sit in a task position for long periods of time, says Ken Altiero, president of Patriot Seating. “This chair is a mesh back, so it has a more stylish look to it. It’s favored more by the consumer and this particular chair, the Service Chair, has some very good ergonomic functionality to it,” he adds.
The Service Chair is the company’s ninth addition to its product line. Unlike its other products, which can only be purchased through the company’s distributors, The Service Chair is available for shipment directly to the customer’s home.
“We sell a variety of office seating that is mainly task chairs, executive chairs, conference chairs, side chairs, multi-purpose chairs that are built specifically for the office,” Altiero says.
“We are using social media to market The Service Chair directly to the consumer for the home office,” Altiero says. “There are a lot of people right now, especially veterans, who are starting their own business out of their homes and they need a high-quality office chair.”
Customers should expect three weeks delivery time for each order, Altiero says. The initial price point is expected to be $279 with a few incentives for customers ordering online. Referrals from five individuals will get a customer a 5% discount, and 10% for 10 referral. All customers have the satisfaction of knowing they purchased a product assembled by a U.S. veteran, Altiero says.
“Everybody has a loved one that’s a veteran and this is all about veteran employment,” he says. “We want to hire as many vets as we can to build quality chairs for the home office. If this takes off, obviously we’ll be able to hire quite a few more veterans.”
