Pa. Casino Table Games Revenues Up 1% in April
HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Revenues from the play of table games at Pennsylvania casinos during April was up 1% over revenues generated last year, the state Gaming Control Board reported Monday. Gross revenues generated by 12 casinos was $62,184,790, or $632,456 higher than in April 2013.
With an average of 1,106 tables in operation statewide every day, tax revenues last month were $8,944,373, according to the gaming board. Coupled with figures on slot machine revenues released earlier this month, overall gross revenues from both were $259,945,767, just below the $266,707,740 generated in April of last year.
Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, which operated 113 tables in April, posted gross revenues of $6,252,232 compared with $4,992,447 in April 2013, when 114 tables were in operation. Presque Isle Downs in Erie reported revenues of $1,130,264, down from $1,248,432 a year ago. The casino had 46 tables in operation both years.
The 12 casinos all offer both slot machine and table game gambling, employ over 16,000 and collectively generate an average of $4 million per day in tax revenue.
