Ohio Turnpike Introduces Redesigned Website
BEREA, Ohio – A makeover of the Ohio Turnpike’s webpage aims to make the roadway’s online home easier to navigate. The new design creates easier access to important travel information, including delays and backups, and provides customers with a more interactive experience allowing them access to the information they want and need, prior to traveling on the Turnpike, officials said.
“Just as the Ohio Turnpike is improving and enhancing its road conditions, maintenance and services to the traveling public, it seemed logical for our website to be improved too,” said the Ohio Turnpike Commission’s executive director, Rick Hodges. “Now, the site more accurately represents the Ohio Turnpike as the best ranked toll road in the nation and the state-of-the-art system we have become. I am sure that our customers, business partners and future investors will be pleased with the updated look and feel of the site.”
The revamped website, which remains at www.ohioturnpike.org, features information for travelers and truckers, and continues to showcase many of the conveniences available at the service plazas. Information is available via the Quick Links section along the left column of the home page. The improved site also includes an interactive turnpike map. In addition to these features, the website has a search bar function at the top of every page and a site map at the bottom of every page.
The new website also includes expanded information about E-ZPass and locations where customers can obtain a transponder. A new online transponder activation component will be added in the near future. Other future improvements already slated for the new site include videos with “how to” information and a revamped permitting section for commercial users.
