Kennsington Golf Course Offers New GPS System
CANFIELD, Ohio -- Kennsington Golf Course recently unveiled a state-of-the-art Visage RT global positioning system in all of its golf carts to assist golfers with golf shot yardages with pinpoint accuracy, real-time player scorecards and leader boards during special tournaments and events.
The GPS is currently available for use in all golf carts. Utilizing the system, golfers can track their score with a virtual scorecard that players can email themselves after their round of golf is finished to verify their experience at Kennsington Golf Club. The system also provides an interactive message system with the golfers and the pro shop so in case of an emergency, cart malfunction or anyone requiring assistance so the staff can respond in a timely fashion. The system currently features seven languages, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German, Spanish and French.
“We met with a sales representative in Orlando earlier this year to view the GPS system and were very impressed,” said Paul Otto, Kennsington’s golf pro. “If used properly it will help increase pace of play and it makes it easier than ever to get yardage quickly plus all of this is at no additional cost, it’s all included in the green fees.”
Professional Golf Association courses such as the Trump National, PGA West courses and The Belfry provide the Visage, but at costs exceeding $150 per round.
The Visage also displays sponsorship advertising as well. Upcoming features include the capability to order food and beverages.
