Hill Barth and King Moves to Canfield Building
CANFIELD, Ohio -- Nearly 65 years after accountants Richard Hill, William Barth and Wally King first collaborated to form the Hill, Barth and King Accounting Firm, the firm now known as HBK CPAs and Consultants has relocated to 6603 Summit Drive. The public acccounting firm was founded in 1949.
“As our flagship Youngstown office cuts the ribbon on a new 35,000-square-foot headquarters facility, bringing together HBK, HBKS Wealth Management, HBK Valuation Group and HBK Energy into one state-of-the-art location, we find ourselves at an exciting time in our history,” the firm’s managing principal and CEO, Chris Allegretti, said in a prepared statement.
Allegretti noted that HBK is undergoing a sweeping brand identification campaign to achieve unity among its services lines and industry distinction in its markets served.
“Clearly we’ve diversified over the years through careful organic growth as well as through recruitment of entrepreneurs and specialists to our team and also via strategic mergers, acquisitions and partnerships,” he said.
Reflected HBK founder Wally King, who still resides in the region, “When I look at this beautiful new facility, I can’t help but think ‘Wow!"
King offered a new explanation for the HBK moniker, moving forward. “You will have folks ask what the HBK in the building stands for. How about, ‘Humble, Bold and Kind’?” he said.
Allegretti said the firm’s fundamental mission --to grow, manage and protect the financial well being of clients -- remains unchanged.
“Although we’re moving to a suburban location," said HBK principal David Blasko, "we wanted to remain true to our roots. We specifically chose to remain in the greater Youngstown/Warren region during this expansion process because we want to continue to provide financial services, jobs and internship opportunities and support of community events and initiatives in the region we are proud to call home”
The relocation will be celebrated with a public open house to be announced later this summer.
HBK operates 11 offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and New Jersey.
