Flambeau's Caribbean Has Grand Opening Tuesday
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Flambeau’s – which bills itself as the only restaurant in the Mahoning Valley to serve authentic Carribean cuisine -- will hold its grand opening at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
On hand to celebrate the opening of the restaurant, 3980 Hillman Way, says owner Josh Alphonse, will be Mayor John A. McNally IV, James Brown, head of Community First Partnerships and deejay Dr. Goo, who will play Carribean music.
Those who attend can sample items on the menu, Alphonse says.
Flambeau’s offers both dine-in and take out selections. Among he items on the menu are jerk chicken, curry goat and stewed ox tail. In addition, a full catering menu is available for parties of 10 or more, with a wide selection of appetizers, soups, salads, several vegetarian options and dessert, Alphonse says.
General Motors Co. invited Flambeau's to participate in the Black History Month celebration at its plant in Lordstown, Alphonse noted in announcing the grand opening.
