Advance Auto Parts to Open Store in Canfield
CANFIELD, Ohio -- Advance Auto Parts Inc., the largest retailer in North America of automotive-aftermarket parts, will open a store here Aug. 7 at 10 Manor Hill Drive in the Colonial Plaza.
Desiree Verheyen, a 28-year veteran of automotive-parts sales, is the general manager who works with and oversees 10. She has been with Advance Auto Parts 18 of those 28 years.
The new store offers a wide range of parts and national brands as well as several free services, Advance Auto Parts said in its announcement.
Among the free services are employees installing new windshield wipers and checking the electrical system and old battery of a vehicle as well as free installation of a new battery purchased on most vehicles.
Customers can drop off used motor oil and batteries for recycling at no charge during regular store hours, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
As part of the opening of the store, Advance Auto Parts has given a check for $1,000 to the United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning County, Verheyen said.
Headquartered in Roanoke, Va., Advance Auto Parts operates 5,276 stores in 49 states and employs about 74,000.
