HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Boyd K. Pethel has been named president and market executive of the Cleveland region of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, Vincent J. Delie, president and CEO, announced Tuesday.
First National Bank is the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corp.
In his role, Pethel is responsible for “integrating First National Bank’s successful cross-functional business model and developing business opportunities in the greater Cleveland area,” the bank said in its announcement.
The cross-functional approach “brings together commercial banking, retail banking and wealth management services,” the bank explained.
Before joining First National Bank, Pethel headed the commercial banking activity of PNC Bank in southeastern Michigan. He earned his MBA at John Carroll University in Cleveland and baccalaureate at Denison University.
Pethel will be supported by Todd L. Hayes and Gregory R. Robb, the bank said. Hayes, who recently joined the First National as retail banking executive, comes from KeyBank where he oversaw 83 of its branches in Greater Cleveland. Robb, who will oversee wealth management, served as head of KeyBank’s wealth management group in the greater Ohio region.
