Mahoning Valley Sees Fewer Foreclosures in September
IRVINE, Calif. -- Foreclosure rates in the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman area decreased in September compared to September 2012, according to new data from CoreLogic. The rate was 3.4%, down from 4.53% a year earlier.
Foreclosure activity in Youngstown-Warren-Boardman was higher than the national foreclosure rate, which was 2.29% for September.
Also in Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased, dropping to 7.26% of mortgages 90 days or more delinquent compared to 8.3% for the same period last year. These figures include houses in foreclosure and those repossessed by their lenders.
90+ Day Delinquency Rate: This measures the percentage of loans more than 90 days past due, including those in foreclosure and repossessed.
