Huntington, First National Bank Win Recognition
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Huntington Bank and First National Bank of Pennsylvania have been recognized for providing excellent customer service, they announced separately Thursday.
For a second consecutive year, Huntington received J.D. Power’s highest ranking for retail banking satisfaction in the marketing information services company’s North Central Region. Those surveyed accorded Huntington, based in Columbus, a score of 828 on a 1,000-point scale in Power’s annual review, up from 813 in 2013. The average score for large banks in Power’s Midwest region was 796; 24 banks were surveyed.
The bank said the Power study showed that its “customers are particularly satisfied with product offerings [and] fees,” noting that the latest innovation in its “Fair Play Banking” campaign was the removal of an overdraft fee when customers transfer funds from another Huntington deposit account to cover a shortage in a customer’s checking account.
Greenwich Associates recognized First National Bank as a winner of two 2013 Greenwich Excellence in Banking Awards. The bank, based in Hermitage, Pa., was cited for its performance as a “Regional Winner for Overall Client Satisfaction in Middle Market Banking” and as a “Regional Winner for Overall Satisfaction for Treasury Management.”
Fewer than 6% of the 750 banks Greenwich evaluated across the United States were so recognized by the research-based strategy management firm, First National Bank noted.
