Huntington Bank Ranked Highest by Small Businesses
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- In this year’s J.D. Power survey of banks, small-business owners raked Huntington Bank the highest in customer satisfaction among banks based in the Midwest, the bank announced Thursday.
“Huntington performs particularly well in facility, fees, account information and channel activities,” the bank said the J.D. Power survey found.
The survey is the second consecutive annual assessment conducted by J.D. Power that ranked Huntington highest in the North Central Region in its U.S. Banking Retail Satisfaction Study.
Deb Stein, director of Huntington Business Banking, cited three factors she attributed to the high marks small-business owners gave her bank:
- Completion of a $4 billion commitment to small-business lending begun in 2010.
- “Second-look lending,” the process where every loan application that fails to meet initial eligibility is reviewed to ensure nothing was overlooked.
- “A basic business checking account that is easy to manage.” Huntington does not charge a monthly service fee to businesses that have up to 100 transactions, for online statements and up to $5,000 cash handling.
