F.N.B. Corp. Named Bank & Thrift All-Star
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- F.N.B. Corp., parent of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, has been named to the Sandler O'Neill Sm-All Stars Class of 2013. The recogniiton is bestowed by Sandler O'Neill & Partners, an investment bank in New York City, on top performing small-cap banks and thrifts in the nation.
"F.N.B.'s recognition as an All Star is a great achievement," said Vincent J. Delie Jr., president and CEO of F.N.B, in a prepared statement. "It reflects the consistency of our strong operating results and validates our status as one of the premier financial institutions in the country."
Sandler O'Neill & Partners evaluated 450 publicly traded banks and thrifts to identify the top-performing small-cap financial institutions in the nation. Criteria that Sandler O’Neill evaluated for selection included growth, profitability, credit quality and capital strength. Based on the results, Sandler O’Neill determiend that only 31 U.S. financial institutions could be identified as delivering bottom line results markedly better than the industry as a whole.
