Vibrant NEO to Unveil Plan at Workshops
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- A plan for the 12-county northeastern Ohio region that has been in the works for the past year will be unveiled next month during a series of forum, including two in the Mahoning Valley.
The Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium will present the Vibrant NEO 2040 Vision at 10 interactive forums to take place Oct. 7-17. Each session will include a presentation with polling, followed by an informal open house with opportunities to ask questions and discuss the proposal.
Locally, the sessions are scheduled for Oct. 10. The first session that day will take place at the Raymond John Wean Foundation, 147 W. Market St., Warren, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Parking will be available at the Franklin Street parking deck.
The Warren event will be followed by a session at the conference center in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University, 221 N. Hazel St., Youngstown, scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. Parking will be available at Catholic Charities, 144 W. Wood St.
Check-in for both programs will begin half an hour prior to the scheduled start.
The plans were formed using input provided during Vibrant NEO open houses that took place in late July and early August and by individuals who during June, July and August used the Imagine My NEO online engagement tool. Some 500 individuals attended one of the open houses and more than 1,300 used the Imagine My NEO online tool.
Individuals interested in information about attending one of the sessions is available here.
