Turning Point Counseling Seeks Sponsors for Fundraiser
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Turning Point Counseling Services will hold its inaugural fundraiser, “Healing Minds by Design,” May 4 at Station Square Ristorante in Liberty Township, reports its executive director, Joseph Sylvester.
The event will feature a four-course, buffet meal at a price of $25 per person. Money raised will directly benefit client care, aiding local individuals and families, Sylvester said.
Turning Point Counseling Services is a nonprofit behavioral health center that has served the adult population of Mahoning County since 1950. As the primary provider of adult mental health services in Mahoning County, Turning Point served more than 5,000 clients in 2013 at its offices Youngstown, Struthers and Sebring.
Despite the impact of the $4.5 billion national reduction in state funding for mental health care, Turning Point continues to strengthen its client care-driven programming, Sylvester said.
Event sponsors are needed for the dinner and donations are tax deductible. Sponsorships range from Platinum ($2,500, for which donors receive eight tickets, signage as an event sponsor in promotional materials and a full-page advertisement in the program) to Friend ($25, for a listing in the program). Also, in-kind donations of products, services and gift certificates are being accepted for silent-auction baskets.
Those interested in becoming a sponsor should call Turning Point Technologies by March 31 by calling Amanda French at 330 744 2991, ext. 106.
