State Bar President to Honor Area Lawyers
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Jonathan Hollingsworth, president of the Ohio State Bar Association, will visit the Youngstown Country Club Oct. 8 to address area attorneys about issues facing the legal profession and to honor veteran lawyers.
Jackman S. Vodrey of East Liverpool will be recognized for his 50 years of service to the legal profession. George P. Millich of Youngstown will be presented with an Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award for attorneys 40 and younger.
Edward J. Hartwig, president of the Mahoning County Bar, will deliver welcoming remarks. Members of the bar association are welcome to attend the business meeting at no charge.
Following the noon luncheon meeting and recognition, an optional 2.5-hour continuing legal education seminar will be offered from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Advance seminar registration is $70 for OSBA members and $85 for those who aren’t. Lunch registration is $27 for members and $32 for nonmembers.
After Oct. 1, $25 will be added to the total registration fee. The OSBA Young Lawyers Section invites all local young lawyers (age 36 or younger or in practice five years or less) to attend the annual district luncheon at no charge, with registration completed by the early registration deadline.
