Score to Host Business Finance, Marketing Workshop
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- From 9 a.m. until noon Nov. 8, the Youngstown chapter of Score will host a workshop, “Financing and Marketing Your Business,” at the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.
The half-day seminar is free. Score is the acronym for the former Service Corps of Retired Executives. Topics are “Your Business Plan,” “Projections, Profit, and Loss” and “Marketing with No Money.”
A roundtable of businessmen, bankers, and Score counselors will follow. Presenters are Jack Kravitz from Kravitz Deli; Todd Franko, managing editor of The Vindicator; Mario Nero from Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corp; Dianne Hogg and Amanda Frost of Charter One Bank; and Score counselors.

The Youngstown chapter of Score, which serves Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Mercer and Lawrence counties, consists of more than 30 volunteer mentors who offer free and confidential counseling to people weighing the startup of a small business and owners of existing businesses that could use its help.
