Packard Museum Gets $25K from Delphi Foundation
WARREN, Ohio -- The National Packard Museum has received a $25,000 grant from the Delphi Foundation of Troy, Mich. The museum will use the grant to support its mission of preserving the Packard legacy and recognize the influence of the automaker in transportation and industrial history through interaction with the community and outreach programs.
“We are pleased to receive such generous support from Delphi, which traces its roots to the Packard brothers and Packard Electric, which they founded here in Warren in 1890," said Mary Ann Porinchak, museum executive director, in a prepared statement. "The Delphi Foundation grant will help the museum to achieve its vision, which is to ensure the Packard Legacy endures.”
Stephen V. Duca, vice president of engineering for Delphi Packard Electrical & Electronic Architecture, presented the check.
The National Packard Museum is open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
