Opera Western Reserve Elects New Board Members
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Opera Western Reserve has re-elected Rodney Lamberson to a two-year term as vice-chairman and Dr. Clyde Morris as treasurer. The elections took place at the annual meeting June 10 at Stambaugh Auditorium.
Attorney Elliot Legow serves as board chairman; Claudia Corbe is secretary, Patricia Fleck Kavic is past-chairwoman and Gary Sexton and Scott Schulick are at-large members of the executive committee.
Re-elected as trustees to three-year terms are attorney Denise Glinatsis Bayer, Dr. Albert Cinelli, attorney Terrence Cloonan, Dolores Iannucci, attorney Christine Blair Legow, Dr. Stanley Palumbo and Paul Ricciuti. Elected to their first terms as trustees are Dr. Ronald Gould and Elsa Higby.
The board also recognized the past service of former trustees whose terms expired, including the late Dr. Dominic Bitonte, Helen Bitonte, Dr. Iole Checcone, Suzanne Cinelli, Eleanor Pershing and Karen O’Malia Zauderer.
Opera Western Reserve will be presenting its 11th annual live fully staged production on Nov. 14, Mozart’s classic tale of the anti-hero "Don Giovanni." Casting of the lead roles is being completed and the full cast will be announced shortly. OWR will collaborate with other area arts organizations in a unique “Don Juan Festival” in October and November, and a full calendar of events will be announced later this summer.
