Ohio State Bar President to Honor 5 Lawyers Sept. 16
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Martin E. Mohler, president of the Ohio State Bar Association, will visit Salem Sept. 16 to recognize the service of five attorneys from Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
Mohler will address the annual luncheon meeting of District 13 of the bar association at the Salem Golf Club. District 13 encompasses 451 lawyers who practice in Columbiana and Mahoning counties.
Youngstown attorneys George C. Economus and Fredric A. Kannensohn and East Liverpool attorney Charles B. Lang will be recognized for their 50-year careers. Joseph P. Sontich of Youngstown will be recognized for his 65 years in practice and Salem attorney Vito J. Abruzzino will be presented with an Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award reserved for attorneys age 40 and younger.
A one-hour U.S. Supreme Court/Legislative Update continuing legal education seminar will be offered as part of the lunch program that runs from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., and a second 2.5-hour CLE seminar on professional conduct will be offered from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
