Mahoning Bar Elects President, Honors Members
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Edward J. Hartwig was elected president of the Mahoning County Bar Association for the upcoming year and Michael J. Hartwig as president-elect at the association’s annual election banquet.
The association also recognized local attorneys and elected board members during the event, held June 24 at the Youngstown Country Club.
Norman A. Rheuban was honored for 65 years of service as an attorney, while Michael C. Clemente was honored for 60 years of service. Honored for 55 years of service were Judge Charles J. Bannon, Chester W. Horlick and Milan Latas.
During the event, Alan W. Wenger, an attorney with the firm of Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell Ltd., was presented with the Distinguished Service Award. Samuel G. Amendolara, an attorney in private practice, received the Lawyer of the Year Award.
Bar Association members also elected members to its board of directors. Trustees elected to a three-year term were J. Gerald Ingram, Robert N. Rusu and Larry D. Wilkes. Elected to a two-year term for an attorney in practice less than 10 years was Megan Graff. Gregg A. Rossi was elected to a one-year term as secretary-treasurer.
In addition, James B. Dietz, president of the Mahoning County Bar Association Foundation, announced that 19 scholarships have been presented to individuals pursuing a course in legal studies.
