Heck's Restaurant Seeks Votes for Sign Makeover
BOARDMAN, Ohio -- Fastsigns of Boardman and Heck’s Restaurant of Columbiana are teaming up to enter MetaphorphoSIGN, an annual contest sponsored by Fastsigns International. The online voting contest is held from July 8 through July 26.
The prize is a $10,000 Sign Makeover for the winner of the competition. Selection of the winner is based on the number of online votes an entrant can generate.
Jay Summer, president of Fastsigns of Boardman, approached Tom Yoder, owner of Heck’s Restaurant, following a dinner at the restaurant. “The food and crowd were great, but we had trouble finding the restaurant," Summer said. "We believe Heck’s is a hidden treasure and makes a perfect contestant for MetamorphoSIGN.”
“Heck’s has been part of the Columbiana community since 1948,” says owner Tom Yoder. “My wife, Michele, and I enjoy working with the community in and appreciate continued support. We’re excited to have the opportunity to compete for a sign makeover.
With strong community support, Summer believes Heck’s has a great shot at winning. “Being in a large market doesn’t guarantee a win,” he said. “Entrants from both Erie and York, Pa., have won, so it’s not a stretch for a restaurant in Columbiana to win.”
Winners will be announced Aug. 15. If Heck's wins, it would begin working with Fastsigns of Boardman immediately to develop a $10,000 customized exterior and interior sign package.
