GM’s Tremblay to Deliver Athena Keynote May 22
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Diana Tremblay, vice president of global business services at General Motors Co. and one of the highest-ranking women in the domestic auto industry, will deliver the keynote speech at the 22nd Annual Athena Award dinner May 22 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
The local Athena Award program is among the top-five Athena programs in the United States, its co-sponsors say.
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, which co-sponsors the program with The Vindicator, is accepting nominations for the award, presented annually to recognize area business and professional women who meet criteria for excellence, accomplishment and giving back to their communities that set them apart from other businesswomen and professionals.
Last year’s recipient was Laura Meeks, president of Eastern Gateway Community College.
Those nominated need not be a member of the Regional Chamber or be in the employ of a firm that belongs to the chamber.
Candidates may nominate themselves and previous nominees for the Athena Award may be nominated again.
Deadline for nominations is March 3.
To obtain a nomination or sponsorship form, or for further information, call Kim Calvert at the Regional Chamber at 330 744 2131, ext. 35.
