Fed Official to Keynote Chamber Forecast Breakfast
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Dr. Mark Sniderman, executive vice president and chief policy officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, will be the keynote speaker for the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s annual Economic Forecast Breakfast.
Sniderman will share his views on the economy for 2013 and beyond at the event, which is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Feb. 7 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave., Boardman.
Sniderman, a Youngstown native, is responsible for guiding the Federal Reserve Bank's economic research and community development efforts. He joined the bank's research department as an economist in 1976 and moved up the ranks until assuming his current position in 2007. He served as senior economist for economic policy analysis for the U.S. Senate Budget Committee in Washington, D.C., while on leave from the bank. Before joining the Federal Reserve, he held teaching and research positions at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
The Economic Forecast Breakfast also will feature a summary of the chamber’s 2012 economic development efforts via a special video presentation.
