Classical Guitarist to Perform May 20 at Warren Library
WARREN, Ohio -- Award-winning classical guitarist Peter Fletcher will perform in a live concert at the Warren-Trumbull Public Libraryat 6:30 p.m. May 20. The concert is part of a nationwide tour under the auspices of Phillip Truckenbrod Concert Artists.
The performance is to promote Fletcher's new Edvard Grieg compact disc, released recently by Centaur Records. CDs will be available for sale by Fletcher at the concert.
He will perform selections from his new CD as well as a mix of music from composers such as Bach, Mozart, Michael Praetorius, Girolamo Frescobaldi, Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz and Paganini. In addition, he will perform a special version of the traditional Shaker hymn, "Simple Gifts."
Fletcher made his New York debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2007 and returned in 2008, 2009 and 2010 to sold-out houses. He lives in New York City.
The concert is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
