Butler to Host Annual Arts and Crafts Show
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Butler Institute of American Art will host its 43rd annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Show, featuring nearly 100 vendors, Dec. 7 and 8 at the museum, 524 Wick Ave.
The event will feature artists and crafters showcasing works for sale in painting, photography, jewelry, paper, ceramics, fragrances, wood, leather, fiber, food, horticulture and decorative arts.
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to patronize the museum’s popular gift shop, which offers specialty merchandise from collectibles to cards and gifts based on the institute’s world-renowned art collection, as well as jewelry, toys and more. The Butler’s Fine Art Sales Gallery also features original works of art by regional talent. This year’s event will provide the opportunity to win works by Butler holiday vendors in a Chinese auction.
Featured exhibitors this year include:
- Melissa Gray of Richlands, N.C., felting, hand spun/dyed yarns and fiber sculpture;
- Debbie Dory, North Lima, live decorated boxwood trees, centerpieces and decorations;
- Ruth Jennings, Brookfield, Faberge-style egg creations
- Ron Meade, Sharpsville, Pa., hand-tooled leather work;
- David Misalko, Boardman, original watercolors, limited edition lithographs, and giclée prints;
- William Morrison, Pulaski, Pa., wooden toys, benches, shelves, doll furniture and more.
Beverages, sandwiches, desserts and other refreshments will be available for sale at the Collections Café.
The event will run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 7 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 8. Admission is $5 for adults; children under 12 are admitted for free.
