Building Trades Join United Way Sunday for Bike Run
BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The Western Reserve Building and Construction Trades Council will hold its fourth annual Motorcycle Bike Run Sunday to benefit the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the union hall of Local 66 of the Operating Engineers, 291 McClurg Road. Cost if $15 per rider and $5 per passenger. All proceeds benefit United Way and the AFL-CIO Community Services.
Panera Bread is providing the breakfast before the first bikes go out at 11 a.m. The Poker Run of 80 miles starts and finishes at the union hall with stops at The Old Stage Coach Inn in North Georgetown, Marks Landing at Guilford Lake, Shale Tavern and Grille in Lisbon, and Backyard Bar & Grill in Poland Township.
The last bike should return at 4 p.m. followed by a presentation of prizes and dinner sponsored by Gia’s Pizzeria. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
The first 100 participants to register will receive a T-shirt donated by by Gem-Young Insurance & Financial Services Inc.
