Tuesday, December 02, 2014BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods announces it has received two prestigious Press Ganey awards. Press Ganey, a nationally recognized rating service for health-care providers, reviewed the records and performance of more than 10,000 clinics and hospitals before bestowing the awards.
The Ganey Press Beacon of Excellence Award is given to the top three health-care organizations in the nation based on extraordinary achievement, according to a press release announcing the awards.
This competitive award specifically recognizes high levels of excellence in patient experience and is awarded only to providers who have maintained consistently high performance for three consecutive years.
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a health-care industry recognition of an achievement that Southwoods has maintained five consecutive years. Fewer than 5% of all Press Ganey clients reach this threshold, it says, and consistently maintain it for one year. All Guardian recipients are within the 95th percentile of demonstrated performance in patient satisfaction, the Southwoods release stated.
