Thursday, January 15, 2015YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Equipment Appraisal Services, a Youngstown Business Incubator portfolio company that provides machinery and equipment appraisals, is partnering with Proxibid to provide an online marketplace for its products.
EquipmentAuction.com, a subsidiary of the YBI company, offers multiple formats for selling machinery. It will use Proxibid’s services to provide customers a secure, online venue to do business.
“The EquipmentAuction.com domain name carries a brand identity that is powerful,” says Kipp Krukowski, managing director of Equipment Appraisal Services.
“It was important for us to select a partner that would allow us to immediately capitalize on our opportunities while having the experts in online auction security and payment processing handle the back-end infrastructure,” he says.
Proxibid, based in Omaha, Neb., provides a risk management system with bank-level security for buying and selling high valued items.
“We received numerous requests from the lender community to expand our services beyond equipment appraisals,” says Krukowski. “The evidence is clear that both buyers and sellers have become increasingly comfortable in making large dollar asset acquisitions through online auctions.”
The company’s website lists its headquarters in the YBI complex as well as 36 locations across the U.S., including offices in Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
