YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Foreclosure rates in Youngstown-Warren-Boardman metro area decreased for the month of September over the same period last year, according to newly released data from CoreLogic, a California-based provider of financial data.
The rate of Youngstown-Warren-Boardman area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 2.15% for the month of September, a decrease of 1.31% compared to September 2013 when the rate was 3.46%.
Foreclosure activity in Youngstown-Warren-Boardman was higher than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.60% for September.
Also in Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased. According to CoreLogic data, 6.10% of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared to 7.31% for the same period last year, representing a decrease of 1.21 percentage points.
