YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Members of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society will have their first opportunity to view progress on the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center when it plays host to the society’s annual meeting June 19.
The society will recognize the winners of its 2012 historic preservation awards at the event, scheduled for 5-7 p.m. This year’s winners, chosen by the MVHS board of directors’ historic preservation committee, are the Federal Building (Commercial Revitalization Award) and the E.M. Skinner organ at Stambaugh Auditorium and the Youngstown YWCA (Community Revitalization Awards).
New members of the society are welcome to attend. Membership is $30 per individual, $50 per family, and good for one year.
